7 More Days Until Halloween, 2012: LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH and VOICES

7 more days til Halloween. Today’s double feature is brought to you by the color brown. They feature heavily in both VOICES and LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH (sort of…). Yes, I’m posting LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH. I desperately hope that one of my friends out there in virtual land has not yet seen it and will be tempted to click on this link and watch it. All those who have seen it and are not in the mood to watch it again (there must be something wrong with you), check out VOICES. I should explain that the brown in LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH is kind of virtual. The washed out, damaged print they used to show on TV was almost sepia toned. That has been corrected, but it is still there in my memory. VOICES doesn’t have that problem. It’s as brown as it has ever been and will stay that way forever (I hope). Imagine a world without the comfort and the familiarity of brown…a horrifying thought. You see, the joy of brown is partly what it does to blue, and wait until you see the foggy blue in both these films. Such sublime, melancholy, foggy blue worlds. Enjoy…

VOICES is no longer available on YoutTube.  Please enjoy the following sample:

LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH is now available letterboxed on DVD, but you can also watch a do-able pan-and-scan version here:
